Some of the ladies who attend the Tuesday Lunch Club got together and decided that while they were having a natter or listening to some entertainment they could also be doing a bit of knitting. They decided to knit squares and then sew them together to make blankets which could then be donated to local charities who help those in need such as refugees, the homeless and those living in poverty.
Recently the first few blankets were completed and the ladies involved presented them to Jo Watters from Fr. Hudson’s Care to be given to Fatima House, one of the Projects supported by Fr. Hudson’s who work with refugees. We hope that this small contribution will help them in the wonderful work they undertake to help those who have fled from war and persecution.
